Flowers banked at the ankle like something growing up out of the hem.
The blooms are guipure lace, worked in burgundy, saffron, violet, coral, and cream, massed heaviest at the leg opening and thinning as they climb until single stems reach the hip. Every one applied by hand.
Above them the denim is opened in long horizontal slashes, and each slash is worked with silver bead and pearl along its edges, so the damage reads as deliberate rather than distressed. The two halves of the pair are not symmetrical. One leg carries the full climb, the other only a low bank of flowers at the back.
Ice blue denim streaked pale down the length, cut wide and cropped above the ankle.
